Headaches - Ibuprofen
Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug classified as a NSAID. As the acronym suggest, Ibuprofen (and aspirin) is used to decrease inflammation. Inflammation causes tissue to expand and generates nerve signals that are interpreted by our bodies as pain. In order to ease pain, we must decrease the inflammation.
Also like aspirin, ibuprofen is used to treat a wide variety of conditions - arthritis, abdominal cramps from menstruation and many others. But, like aspirin, it can produce side effects. Blood in vomit or stools, general stomach upset even dizziness are commonly reported.
Other potential side effects include allergic reactions, leading to swelling of the throat or tongue, fluid retention and ringing in the ears. Since it works by changing blood composition, as does aspirin, anyone who has had heart surgery should avoid it.
Those with a liver or kidney disease, too, should consult a doctor before taking ibuprofen. Patients with ulcers or those taking coagulation medication should as well. Anyone with high blood pressure or heart disease should find a substitute. Nausea is fairly common and diarrhea is sometimes reported.
Ibuprofen is not suitable for pregnant women though it's generally safe during early stages. It is particularly risky in the last trimester, as it may produce birth defects. The compound in ibuprofen can be passed through the blood stream into the fetus. Consulting a physician is a wise precaution.
All these side effects can be minimized by proper dosage and consumption. If taken in liquid form, use a carefully calibrated measuring spoon or small cup, rather than a teaspoon. Alcohol shouldn't be consumed with or just before hand, and the ibuprofen should be taken with a glass of milk or water.
In general, it shouldn't be combined with other over-the-counter pain medications, such as aspirin or naproxen. The list of other drugs that can interact unfavorably is, not surprisingly, very long. Some of the more common ones are steroids (prednisone, for example), lithium (such as Lithobid) and diuretics.
On the upside, ibuprofen has been shown to be very effective in treating a wide variety of headaches. Some, such as those produced by high altitudes (a condition called AMS - acute mountain sickness) respond very well to ibuprofen. That's good news for climbers and those who travel in planes frequently.
There has been a lot of research conducted on whether aspirin, acetaminophen, or ibuprofen works better in alleviating pain. The answer is different depending on the person. The most important thing to remember is that you should use what works best for you and what causes the fewest side effects.

Huangdi Neijing8-3
Zhang Zhongjing (simplified Chinese: ; traditional Chinese: ; pinyin: Zhng Zhngjng; Wade-Giles: Chang Chung Ching), formal name Zhang Ji (simplified Chinese: ; traditional Chinese: ; pinyin: Zhng J, 150 - 219), was an Eastern Han physician and one of the most eminent Chinese physicians during the later years of the Eastern Han. He established medication principles and summed up the medicinal experience up until that time, thus making a great contribution to the development of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Biography
Though extremely well known in modern Chinese medicine and considered one of the finest Chinese physicians in history very little is known of his life. According to later sources he was born in Nanyang, held an official position in Changsha and lived from approximately 150 to 219AD. Exact dates regarding his birth, death and works vary; an upper limit of 220AD is generally accepted.
During his time, with warlords fighting for their own territories, many people were infected with febrile disease. Zhang's family was no exception. He learned medicine by studying from his townsfellow Zhang Bozu, assimilating from previous medicinal literature, and collecting many prescriptions elsewhere, finally writing the medical masterpiece Shanghan Zabing Lun' (traditional Chinese: ; pinyin: Shnghn Zbng Ln, lit. "Treatise on Cold Pathogenic and Miscellaneous Diseases"). Shortly after its publication the book was lost during wartime. Due to Zhang's contribution to Traditional Chinese medicine he is often regarded as the sage of Chinese medicine.
Zhang's masterpiece, Shanghan Zabing Lun, was collected by later people and compiled into two books, namely the Shang Han Lun (, lit. "On Cold Damage"), which was a discourse on how to treat epidemic infectious diseases causing fevers prevalent during his era, and the other, highly influential doctrine Jinkui Yaolue (, lit. "Essential Prescriptions of the Golden Coffer"), a compendium of his clinical experiences. These two texts have been heavily reconstructed several times up to the modern era. 4 Revered for authoring the Shng Hn Z Bng Ln, Zhang Zhongjing is considered to have founded the Cold Damage or "Cold Disease" school of Chinese medicine and is widely considered the seminal expert to this day.

Shang Han Lun ((traditional Chinese: ; pinyin: Shng Hn Ln), or Shang Han Za Bin Lun, is the treatasie on Cold Disease Damage by Zhang Zhongjing published in 220 A.D. by the Hippocrates of Traditional Chinese medicine. It is the oldest complete clinical textbook in world medical history, and one of the four most important canonical medical classics which students must study in Chinese medical education.
Shang Han Lun has 397 sections with 112 herbal prescriptions. The discussion is based on the Six Divisions: The Six Divisions of the Shang Han Lun are:
TAl YANG (greater yang): a milder stage with external symptoms of chills, fevers, stiffness, and headache. Therapy: sweating
YANG MING (yang brightness): a more severe internal excess yang condition with fever without chills, distended abdomen, and constipation. Therapy: cooling and eliminating
SHAO YANG (lesser yang): half outside, half inside half excess and half deficiency with chest discomfort, alternating chills, and fever. Therapy: harmonizing
TAl YIN (greater yin): chills, distended abdomen with occasional pain. Therapy: warming with supplementing.
SHAO YIN (lesser yin): weak pulse, anxiety, drowsiness, diarrhea, chills, cold extremities. Therapy: warming with supplementing

My experience with Migraine Associated Vertigo
This video is about my experience with Migraine Associated Vertigo. Sudden collapsing, profound vertigo, ringing in the ears, excruciating headaches, excruciating sinus pain although sinus X-rays show normal results, blinding auras, symptoms coming and going with or without headache and with or without other symptoms, vertigo being set off by looking at certain patterns of colors, lights, and shapes and by looking at things moving, bouts of profound motion sickness, it doesn't show up on ANY medical tests, and few doctors have ever heard of this or know how to treat it, it mimics a lot of diseases including psychiatric diseases yet it's none of those, injuries from all those sudden falls, and for me anyway none of the typical migraine drugs do anything at all for this, are just some of the symptoms. Need I say more? Uh, yes, OF COURSE I need to say more! And, I will at a later time, but this will suffice for now.
